·         The Data Entry Technician performs data entry of new and refill prescription orders received from an electronic fax queue.

·         Enters new and refill orders, performs oral and inject-able dosage calculations.

·         Responsible for typing a high volume of scripts at a fast pace, with 100% accuracy.

·         Must exhibit excellent skills in the following areas: written communication, computer/data entry/ software proficiency, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and self-discipline.

·         Must be familiar with general pharmacy terminology, billing quantity, SIG codes, Roman numerals, brand and generic names of medications and IV dosage calculations/day supply.

·         Highly effective in working objectively with a diverse group of people and must demonstrate organizational, administrative and office skills.

·         Ensure all activities in accordance with companywide information security policies and procedures as per ISO 27000 and 9000 requirements.

·         Must be a team player willing to accept and promote organizational goals and function with minimal supervision.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

·         Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.
