Medical Transcription Billing Corp. [NASDAQ: MTBC], a publicly-traded healthcare IT Company, seeks to hire Data Scientist for its Rawalpindi Office.

The Data Scientist – Advanced Analytics & Insights will be a technology leader that will bring our Data Science practices to the next level using a hands-on approach and a passion for deriving business insights through predictive modeling efforts.

The Data Scientist will understand strategic business initiatives and challenges across the company, work with stakeholders to identify data science opportunities, have the knowledge, experience and technical skills to leverage large volumes of internal and external data, and apply the right machine learning/big data technologies to turn such data into valuable insights and actions for the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Creatively communicate and present models to Business Partners and executives, utilizing a variety of formats and visualization methodologies.


• Guide and contribute to the execution of a Data Science methodology according to the requirements of each project. This includes: Goal Definition, Data Preprocessing, Statistical Modeling, Evaluation, Cluster analysis of data, predictive modeling algorithms, Results Communication and Deployment.


• Interact directly with Business Partners to support their operational needs.  


• Execute the requirement(s) to solve the business problem.


• Perform hands-on data manipulation, transformation, hypothesis testing and predictive modeling.


• Collaborate on insights with other Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Partners.


• Evaluate, refine, and continuously improve the efficiency and accuracy of existing Predictive Models.


• Champion new innovative ideas around the Data Science and Advanced Analytics practices


• Contribute to the adoption and better understanding across the company of data science best practices and tools and stay up to date regarding new knowledge and developments in this domain.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Deep understanding of Machine Learning and Data Mining techniques.


• Creativity, to invent and try new approaches to solving a problem.


• Ability to build and interpret probabilistic models of complex, high-dimensional systems.


• Ability to work with incomplete or imperfect data to extract usable information. Results oriented and deadline driven.


• Ability to explain and present hypotheses and analysis results.


• Ability to work independently and in a team to research innovative solutions to challenging business/technical problems.


• Attention to detail, data accuracy and quality of output.


• Expertise in frameworks and tools used for Data Analysis.


• Attention to Detail, in order to maintain rigor and to detect and avoid over-reliance on intuition when examining data.


• Clear and concise written and oral communication.


• Interpersonal skills, necessary to build good working relationships and work as part of a team. 


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math or related discipline is required; MS degree is preferred.
