| Job Description: |
DIGITAL GRAPHIKS is seeking a WordPress Developer. WordPress Developers at DIGITAL GRAPHIKS are expected to provide design and development support for new and existing WordPress websites as well as web-based applications. The successful candidate will be expected to build new WordPress websites either from scratch or from preselected theme templates.
Another critical aspect of the job will be the maintenance of our large portfolio of existing websites and applications. Finally, we need a "thinker" who can and will provide expert consulting for new technologies and best practice methodologies.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have 1-2 years of successful and demonstrated website and application development work experience, or equivalent education. Front end, and UX design experience strongly preferred.
Required Skills and Technologies:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Wordpress CMS
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development and plug-in editing
- Good understanding of Wordpress Codex, Custom post type, Custom taxonomy and Custom fields
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Advanced knowledge of WordPress
- Strong understanding of Woo Commerce
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) a plus
- Knowledge of change control systems, specifically Git, a plus
- CMS proficiencies including Wordpress
- HTML/HTML5
- CSS/CSS3
- PHP
- Responsive/mobile frameworks and cross browser and device compatibility
- Web User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design and development
- Javascript or other Java-based frameworks, such as Angular or React
